Good evening, THDS community. Goopy here. I never thought this would happen. I thought I'd be with the THDS community up until the very final one closes for good. I wish that were the case, because ever since THAS, this community has been one of my very favorite ones. It's a very close, friendly community. And now, it seems to be picking up in activity. It'd be great to be able to come on every day and participate just like the old days!
Unfortunately, however, it doesn't look like that's going to happen. As I signed onto my university's online site for resources for certain classes, I discovered that I had my first grades posted for chemistry. As it turns out, I'm currently failing. This is one class that I can ABSOLUTELY NOT afford to fail. Now, it's just two grades, not a huge deal. But what this means is I have to change the way I do things from here on out.
I have to eliminate everything, or at least the majority of things, that will detract from my studying of chemistry, aside from any work I have to do for my other classes. One of the biggest distractions for me is the internet, and more specifically, online communities such as this, but I'm going to try to cut back on my internet use in general, except for what I need to do for school.
Until December, when the semester ends, I probably won't be visiting this community anymore. If there's a new community for THM by then, then I'll probably join that in December. I'm sorry, Elliot, that I wasn't able to keep it up with the moderation and creation of tournaments. I thank you for the opportunity to be a leader in this community. You can feel free to remove my moderator status.
To everyone that showed me support over the years, I offer my thanks. To all the friends I've made over the course of my stay in the THDS community, I'll miss conversing with you all very much. To everyone that's attacked and criticized me over the years, I'll miss exercising my wit at your expense, and to everyone that's provided a nice, open-minded debate, I'll miss the respectful battles of ideas.
And of course, to everyone who thought that Goopy was a perfect student who does perfectly in everything he does with no trouble at all, and to everyone who thought that Goopy would last a long time as a mod, feel free to make fun of me and mock me all you like. I recommend, however, that you make such comments soon, because if you wait too long, I may not end up seeing it.
Before I wrap this up, I'd just like to make one last request. If possible, please, everyone, try to keep this game and community active. It'd be a shame to see this place I've been a part of so long just die.
Now, I suppose I've written enough. I've been around for a while under only one username. People know what I've done, so no need to go over any of that. So finally, I extend my final thanks to the community for making this such an enjoyable place. Farewell, everyone!
