Calling All Community Members!

THPG Community,

It is time to join together to bring some new life to the THPG Community Website.  With improved site and forum speed, it is time to come up with some new proactive ideas to make  your time here on the site even more enjoyable.

New Art Contest Ideas, Tournament Ideas, Discussion Thread Ideas, Crazy ideas, whatever they may be, if you are itching to see some new proactive items here on the forums, let me know right here in this thread.

I will stop in, read your suggestions, and discuss your ideas.  Then, not that far down the road, I will do my best to put some of your ideas into motion.  This is your community, and I want you guys to truly enjoy each and every one of your visits.

Tournament like the one in THDJ where someone won a copy of the game

Remember when I made an Art day?

It was called, Artapalooza. XD

An art day where you have to draw tons of art (maybe about 4 or 5 pics) would be pretty cool. We can then comment on eachother's random art.

...if there is an effort, I might have to buy the game again. I don't think I lost it, but it is at my old place. I didnt see it right away, so I took off without it, seeing as this site died for a time.

 But I'd rather see in an effort for gameplay other than art. There is already lots of entertainment on art with contests,mosaics, and it even has titles. There was no motivation for me to keep playing since I claimed top spot on the scoreboard. So hopefully we can come up with something exciting to spice things up.

Last year, there were lists of people from Friday Night Fights that the mods played against and they decided the member who impressed them the most. I'll be nice to bring it back, but with everyone voting who they found the most skilled in their games. The person with the most votes claims a week's worth title, similiar to the art contests.

AND DEFINITELY CONSTRUCT A MEMBERS ONLINE LIST. This really helped on the other site to contact with others and get some games going.

It is possible for us to set up our own bracketed tournament. We'd just have to rely on the honor system (both people agree on the outcome of the match)

We would do random game modes and a different area each round. I'd be able to set up a bracket representation on the tournament thread.

Just get Flint to start drawing again.  That'll bring fans in by the truckload.

3.) A "Who's Online" feature will not be added to the current THPG website.  This deals with our forum software as a whole, and it is a rather large undertaking that will not be done.

The game is near release, and there's no announcement if there will be another community site. Tell us something.

 If there was, I would start another noob-up program. It'll be best to start something like this early, instead of half way through like I did last time. It'll consist a group of experienced players who are willing to share their knowledge. If the mods could, they could give titles to the players naming "Tutor." Anyone who wants to learn should contact any one of these people. The tutor can make their own rules on how they want to teach the student.

 And possilbly, just possibly, the tutors can compete in an event by putting up their students against each other in a tournament or something. It would be a monthly event, happening at the end of the month. I think that'll happen in the first month, but I don't think it'll go on all year unless we keep claiming newcomers.
