Celestial Body Art Contest

Welcome to the Celestial Body Art Contest thread, hosted by XPISigma and Dup EL Cup!

 Space... its huge. Whats the purpose of it? Why do so many galaxies exist? Well we won't be asking those questions here. This is an art contest! Heres the deal.

-Draw a pic with a Tony Hawk DS art editor. The premise is to draw something from the universe. Thats right, you have a large quantity of choices. Will you draw a star? Planet? Make up a planet? A nebula? Black hole? White hole? Perhaps a galaxy? 

-Your entries will be rated under our criteria:

Niceness - How nice the pic is to look at and how nice it was made.

Specularness - Fancy stuff. Intense shading, shiny lighting effects, etc.

Creativeness - Sorry, if your gonna draw a circle and call it a moon, your not gonna win.

Spaciness - Just make sure your pic isn't a piece of cheese. This criteria has to do with how well your pic fits into space. 

Overall - Everything added up into a nice little conclusion.

THE CONTEST WILL END AND BE RATED (on or after the day of) JULY 4, A FRIDAY.

Me and Dup EL Cup will review the winners on the 26th! Happy drawing! Good luck!

My impression of a satellite orbiting the earth over the southern hemisphere.

I have mine

 A comet. I think one of the coolest things about space are the comets that fly all around space passing many different planets.

I'm liking the pics so far, but I'm totally not gonna have a competition with 2 pics. Maybe 3, but 3? No way! All you other artists have until July 4th (oh wow, I forgot that was a holiday! Thats good that its a deadline!) Hopefully Dupelhead arrives soon.

So get those drawings in, I'll be waiting patiently. (heh... yea...)

Niceness - It's your standard Earth. You can definetly tell what it is. 2/5

Specularness - No where to be found. 0/5

Creativeness - The funky text adds to it, but its still just a 2 color Earth. 2/5

Spaciness - It fits into space. 3/5

Overall - Its one of Yosh's best pics, but it doesn't really cater to the contest's criteria. 2/5

Sindel

Niceness - It looks good. I can see there was a problem with the transparency of the art editor, as some spots I know were suppose to be white. 3/5

Specularness - Not much specular going on, but the geometry on that satellite is nice. The shading is also fitting. 3/5

Creativeness - Earth (probably) and a satellite, thats more than what I asked for kinda. Nice. 3/5

Spaciness - I can see it in space. Especially that its real. 4/5

Overall - Everything added up into a nice little conclusion. 3/5

Niceness - ...............It looks like a painting!! 4/5

Specularness - There are a lot of colors in that comet. Wow. 4/5

Creativeness - A comet. Thats really it. 2/5

Spaciness - Yea this works. 3/5

Overall - Overall, this is my favorite pic. I'd have to give it a 4/5!

Spaciness: This pic shows great spaciness, I could totally see it in space. --- 5
Specularness: This pic has decen lighting effects. That tail brings it up a point. --- 4
Niceness: I don’t really find it as a “ Look at me ” kind of picture. --- 2
Creativeness: This pic is usual in terms of space drawings. ---2
Overall: I like it, but it could use an extra umph. ---3

Sindel's satellite + Earth:

Spaciness: This pic shows great spaciness, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it in space. --- 5
Specularness: This pic has great lighting effects. I like that satellite shading! --- 5
Niceness:This will end up drawing some eyes. --- 3
Creativeness: The Earth is uncreative, but the satellite throws in an extra punch. ---3
Overall:Put this in the top 50. ---4

Yosh's Earth:

Spaciness: This pic would fit in space. --- 3
Specularness: This There aren’t any lighting effects except for the writing. --- 2
Niceness:I like how you put writing in it. --- 3
Creativeness: The Earth is uncreative, but the shading in the writing gives it some. ---4
Overall: Not too bad, not too good. ---2
