Another week, another art contest!  The theme this time is draw a famous historical person or scene.  For example, you could draw a famous character, a significant building or work of art, or depict a scene from history.   Thanks to Sindel for this theme.  If you would like to submit a theme just post in the Suggestion thread!

Rules: Just draw something pertaining to the theme above with either the THPG, THDJ, or THAS editor.  Upload your piece and post it in this thread.  The last day for submissions will be Monday, July 21st.  We'll set up a vote thread at this point so you can vote for your favorite piece.  The winner gets a special forum title for the next week: Art Master!

Siege of Stalingrad In 1942, Red Army soldiers cross the Volga river to aid in defending the beseiged industrial city of Stalingrad against the werhmacht of the Third Reich. The Battle of Stalingrad was arguably the bloodiest battle in history with a staggering human toll estimated at more than 1.5 million casualties.  The destruction of the German 6th army at Stalingrad is considered a major turning point in World War II.

I saw it over at the new art thread, nice job! Ah, I thought it was WW2.

I just now got home, I'll finish my entry tomorrow!

EDIT: Got it!

The Crusades were a series of military campaigns. It is thought of to be a huge religious war, and there is much speculation on what the war was even started by. There were over 9 crusades, most started by religious differences in cultures. The pic portrays a crusader awaiting commands within his fort.

Awesome XPI!  Really great job on the armor.
